QC Operative (Quality Control Operative)

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
We are currently recruiting for two experienced QC Operatives to join a leading manufacturer of windows and doors on a temporary-to-permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with previous quality control experience who are looking for long-term employment within a growing business.
Available ShiftsDay Shift
- Monday to Thursday: 06:00am - 3:00pm
- Friday: 06:00am - 12:30pm
- 30-minute unpaid break
Late Shift
- Monday to Thursday: 4:00pm - 2:30am
- 30-minute unpaid break
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out quality inspections on windows and doors to company specifications.
- Ensure only products meeting required standards are approved and passed through production.
- Identify damaged, faulty, or non-conforming products and return them to the relevant department for corrective action.
- Maintain accurate quality standards throughout the inspection process.
- Work independently while following established procedures and specifications.
- Communicate effectively with production and management teams regarding quality concerns.
- Safely handle and move products as part of the inspection process.
Requirements
- Previous Quality Control (QC) experience is essential.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Good communication skills.
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling and heavy lifting.
- A stable employment history with good lengths of service in previous roles.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high quality standards.
