Job Summary
Roscoe Tree Services Ltd is seeking a hardworking and reliable Groundworker / Landscaping Operative to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of landscaping and construction projects, working across domestic, commercial, and public sector sites.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in producing high-quality workmanship. Previous experience is preferred; however, training can be provided for candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation of fencing, gates, and boundary structures.
- Construction of patios, pathways, and hard landscaping features.
- Ground preparation, excavation, and site clearance.
- Concreting works including footings, bases, and pathways.
- Kerbing, edging, and paving installation.
- Operating power tools, hand tools, and site equipment safely and effectively.
- Assisting with landscaping projects including turfing, planting, and general site finishing.
- Loading, unloading, and transporting materials and equipment.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Essential Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or over for insurance purposes.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Good level of physical fitness and ability to undertake manual work.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in groundworks, landscaping, fencing, paving, or construction.
- Experience laying patios and carrying out concreting works.
- Experience operating excavators, dumpers, or other plant machinery.
- CSCS Card.
- Relevant construction or landscaping qualifications.
- Trailer towing experience.
- First Aid qualification.
Training can be provided for suitable candidates who demonstrate the right attitude and willingness to learn.
