Perfect Smile Twickenham is seeking a friendly, reliable, and patient-focused Locum Dental Hygienist to join our team on a fixed-term basis to provide maternity cover from 25 August 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a modern, well-established practice delivering high-quality preventive and periodontal care to a loyal patient base.
Hours
Tuesday 8:00-17:00
Saturday 9:00-13:00 (One a month)
Key Responsibilities
· Provide comprehensive dental hygiene treatments, including scaling and polishing.
· Assess and manage periodontal conditions within your scope of practice.
· Deliver personalised oral health education and preventive advice.
· Competently use AirFlow® technology for guided biofilm therapy and stain removal where appropriate.
· Maintain accurate clinical records using Dentally practice management software.
· Adhere to all GDC standards and cross-infection control protocols.
· Work collaboratively with dentists, dental nurses, and the wider practice team to deliver exceptional patient care.
Essential
· GDC-registered Dental Hygienist.
· Valid professional indemnity insurance.
· Experience using Dentally practice management software.
· Knowledge of and experience using AirFlow® technology for preventive and periodontal treatment.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· A caring, professional, and patient-focused approach.
· Strong organisational and time-management skills.
