Our fast-growing company is looking for a Project Manager. Reporting to the Head of Contracting you will be responsible for several sites and be part of a team that includes Project Manager's and other senior members of staff. There is scope for the role to grow for the right candidate.
Your core duties will include:
· To meet clients and undertake site visits with Head of Contracting Delivery
· To establish what materials, plant and labour is needed for each project
· To prepare quotes for all elements of the project
· To liaise with Head of MPH to ensure accurate quotes for mobilisation and location for mobilising is known before getting quote sign off
· To submit quote to Head of Contracting Delivery in a timely manner for sign off
· To send quotes to clients & chase when required
· To ensure the software is kept up to date and accurate for all projects
· To understand each project to be able to competently convey at planning meeting what is required for each project and the details
· To liaise with Head of MPH, Contracting Technical & Contracting Delivery for resource availability and timings
· To liaise with clients regarding start dates and all necessary paperwork
· To prepare RAMS for the project and discuss with SHEQ and site supervisor
· To submit RAMS to Head of Contracting Delivery in a timely manner
· To ensure preparation of site file for Head of Contracting Delivery in a timely manner
· To send RAMs and any other necessary paperwork to client ahead of commencement of project
· To arrange handover of project to site supervisor
· Daily liaison with site supervisors
· To ensure Trello is updated daily
· To ensure photos are processed, accurate and managed
· To ensure reports are ready to send to client and keep client updated with progress of project
· To manage the operatives planning, budget and timescales for undertaking the project to ensure they are on target and delivering what they say and what you need
· To ensure the kit & plant is suitable for the project
· To ensure site file is completed and returned to SHEQ
· To ensure completed client paperwork is sent back to client
· To manage H&S throughout the project and liaise with Head of Contracting on this
· To attend monthly meetings with site supervisors to log problems and update skills matrix
· Ensure work is delivered to the highest standard
· Receive client phone calls & respond timely
· Proactively keeping Head of Contracting Delivery updated with status of projects daily
· Attendance at project cost completion meeting to assess project profitability
· To positively support and liaise with the Head of Contracting Technical and Delivery to ensure contracting projects are safely and effectively managed
· To work towards templating lift plans for AP review and sign off
· Any other tasks that are necessary for the projects
Your skills experience and qualifications will include:
· NVQ Level 3
· Good IT skills
· Excellent time management skills
· The ability to work as part of a team
· CITB SMSTS OR NEBOSH equivalent
· CSCS card – Experienced Technical, Supervisor or Manager
The following attributes would be advantageous:
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Project
· Experience of interesting or unusual temporary works and access solution
Salary from £35K depending on experience.
Full time working hours, 8am - 5pm.
All hours must be facilitated at our head office, no hybrid working.
