Austin Racing is a UK-based company that specialises in designing and manufacturing high-performance motorcycle exhaust systems. We are known for our distinctive premium quality and innovative designs that offer a significant boost in performance, sound, and aesthetics. We are the top brand of exotic exhausts and work solely with titanium, we only fabricate and produce the best quality.
We have an immediate vacancy for a Top Metal Fabricator / Welder.
Candidates must be highly skilled fabricators, and it is essential that they are able to produce work to a very high standard.
You must be able to TIG weld to a competent standard, and training is provided to help candidates achieve the required standards we set but initial skill should be there.
You will need to have proven experience and ideally be time served or have acquired relevant training. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced fabricator wishing to utilise their broad experience in an established organisation.
Accuracy is key, and candidates must to be able to read and follow technical drawings. Candidates must also be experienced in the use of inspection and measurement apparatus including callipers and height gauges etc.
Responsibilities
- Welding titanium and inconel down to 0.7mm thickness
- Fabricating/manipulating tube to produce high standard fit up. This includes swaging, grinding etc.
- Producing top of the range motorcycle exhaust systems that fit within a tight tolerance.
- Working through a personal fabrication queue
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong ability to fabricate
- Competent at TIG welding
- Use of hand tools, linishing machines, presses and more.
- Ability to self-direct; organise a personal job list and prioritise, based on importance and time available
- Punctual and reliable
- Good communication skills and able to work well in a team driven environment.
- Strong ability to multitask
- Friendly and upbeat demeanour
- The ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Experience in the use of inspection and measurement apparatus
- Exposure to Fabrication & welding environment is highly advantageous.
- Must have good written English skills.
Salary
The offered starting salary is only the starting point. Salary will be reviewed very regularly and the successful candidate will see increases as their skill and quality of work improves.
Location for Interviews and Start of Work
Our brand new facility is based just outside of burgess hill, near easy travel links.
As part of our selection process, shortlisted candidates will be invited for a trial shift. This gives you the opportunity to demonstrate your skills in a real working environment and allows us to see how you approach the role.

We ask all candidates to provide examples of their fabrication and TIG welding work before the interview. These can be photographs, videos, or other documentation that showcases the quality of your craftsmanship and attention to detail.
