Level 3 Nursery Practitioner – Young Toddlers Room (1–2 Years)
Salary: £32,000–£35,000 depending on experience
Looking for a nursery that feels like home?
Most nurseries are busy. Ours is intentionally different.
We care for just 24 children in total, creating a calm, homely environment where every child is known, every practitioner is valued, and quality interactions come before rushing through the day.
We're looking for a qualified Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our Young Toddlers Room, working alongside two experienced colleagues to care for 8 wonderful children aged 1–2 years.
If you're passionate about supporting toddlers as they become confident, curious and independent, we'd love to meet you.

About Our Nursery
Our nursery is organised into three small groups:
- 8 Young Toddlers (1–2 years) – the room you'll be joining
- 8 Toddlers (2–3 years)
- 8 Preschool Children (3-4 years)
Keeping our groups small allows us to give every child the attention they deserve while creating a relaxed working environment where practitioners can focus on what matters most—supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing.
Many people describe our nursery as a hidden gem. It's a place where children feel secure, families feel welcomed, and our team genuinely enjoys coming to work each day.
The Role
As part of our Young Toddlers team, you'll spend your day supporting children through one of the most exciting stages of development.
Working alongside two experienced colleagues, you'll help children develop confidence, communication, independence and a love of learning through play, exploration and meaningful everyday experiences.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding care and education for children aged 1–2 years.
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS.
- Observe, assess and record children's learning and development.
- Create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment.
- Build positive relationships with parents and carers.
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide consistent, high-quality care.
What We're Looking For Essential
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare.
- Experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
- Good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A warm, caring nature and a genuine passion for supporting young children.
Desirable
- Paediatric First Aid qualification (or willingness to complete training).
- Experience planning child-led learning opportunities.
Why Our Team Stays
We're proud that many of our practitioners choose to stay with us for years.
They tell us it's because they feel supported, appreciated and trusted to do what they do best—help children flourish.
If you're looking for a nursery where you'll be part of a close-knit team, have time to build meaningful relationships with children, and enjoy coming to work every day, we'd love to welcome you.
