As a Social Worker in the Mansfield North Family Support & Safeguarding Team, your role will be dynamic and rewarding. You will work with children of all ages who are under a Child in Need Plan, Child Protection Plan, or who have a Child and Family Assessment in place. Collaborating with various agencies, you will manage and progress each child’s plan, aiming to foster positive change within their home environment. With the support of your Team Manager and colleagues, you will respond to identified risks and ensure the best outcomes for the children and families you serve. As a Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

Co-ordinate and Monitor: Oversee service provision and make necessary adjustments to promote positive change.

Collaborate: Work alongside a range of agencies, including Family Support Workers and Social Work Practice Consultants, to ensure comprehensive support for children and families.

Assess and Respond: Identify risks and respond effectively, ensuring the safety and well-being of children.

Engage with Families: Build trusting relationships with families to understand their needs and provide tailored support.

Document and Report: Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with departmental procedures.
To succeed in this role, you will need:

Professional Qualification: A recognised Social Work qualification (e.g., BA in Social Work, DipSW, CQSW).

Registration: Must be registered with Social Work England or in the process of registration.

Experience: Significant post-qualifying experience in child care social work, particularly in safeguarding and care planning.

Knowledge: Understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child welfare.
