Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Warehouse/Stores Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing a tidy and organised yard/warehouse and strong logistical support to ensure smooth operation within our varied operational environment. The role is also key to maintaining stock levels within the business and an eye for detail is important. The ideal candidate will display strong operational skills, including familiarity with warehouse management and materials handling.
Responsibilities
- Maintain an organised yard and warehouse environment.
- Work with established business processes to track stock levels and assist in stock management.
- Load and unload deliveries efficiently, ensuring that all products are handled with care.
- Operate forklifts safely when necessary to facilitate the movement of goods within the store or warehouse (training provided as required).
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and timely processing of orders.
- Collaborate with individuals across the business to ensure strong logistical support.
Experience
- A practical mindset and willingness to learn is essential.
- A positive attitude towards Health and Safety procedures is essential, as is the willingness to work within the bounds of defined company procedures.
- Good computer literacy is essential and experience of working Microsoft systems is desirable.
- Experience of working with Sage200 is desirable.
- Previous experience of warehouse operations and stock management is desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge and experience is desirable.
