Grounds Maintenance Operative
Full Time / Seasonal Hours
Monday to Friday with Optional Saturday Work
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team. The role involves maintaining outdoor spaces to a high standard using a range of gardening and grounds maintenance equipment.
Duties Include:
- Operating pedestrian and ride-on mowers
- Using strimmers, hedge cutters, blowers, and other garden machinery
- General grounds and landscape maintenance
- Grass cutting, edging, and pruning
- Litter picking and site tidiness
- Working safely and efficiently as part of a team or independently
Requirements:
- Experience using ride-on mowers and grounds maintenance machinery required
- Good timekeeping and a strong work ethic
- Full UK driving licence required
- Ability to follow health and safety procedures
- Must be reliable, hardworking, and willing to take initiative
- Comfortable carrying out physically demanding outdoor work in all weather conditions
- Strong work ethic with a positive and proactive attitude toward work
Working Hours
Summer Schedule
1st March – 31st October
- Minimum 45 hours per week
- Variable start and finish times
- Monday to Friday
- Optional Saturday working as required
- Overtime may be required to meet operational needs
- Additional overtime may also be offered on a voluntary basis subject to business requirements
Winter Schedule
1st November – 28th February
- Minimum 21 hours per week
- Variable start and finish times
- Monday to Friday
- Optional Saturday working as required
Working schedules may be adjusted reasonably in line with business demands, seasonal requirements, weather conditions, and operational needs, with reasonable notice provided.
Please note, 21 hours in the winter schedule is just a minimum this could vary to 45 hours
