Salary: £27,000 per annum (£2,250 gross per month)

Linear Supply Solutions is a growing distributor of electrical and industrial components, supplying customers throughout the UK and Europe. We pride ourselves on providing excellent service and accurate deliveries to our customers, many of whom rely on us for critical parts required in manufacturing, maintenance, and engineering operations.
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Warehouse Operative to join our team at our Heywood warehouse.
This role is offered on an initial 6-month contract with the intention of becoming a permanent position for the right candidate.
The Role
As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a key role in ensuring customer orders are picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and on time. Working as part of a small and friendly team, you will help maintain high standards of accuracy, efficiency, and customer service.
Your responsibilities will include:
-Picking and packing customer orders
-Using handheld scanners and warehouse systems
-Preparing shipments for courier collection
-Receiving and booking in incoming stock
-Putting stock away in the correct warehouse locations
-Carrying out stock checks and inventory tasks
-Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment
-Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse
Working Environment
We specialise in electrical and industrial components. Unlike many warehouse operations, our focus is on accuracy and quality rather than high-volume manual handling.
The majority of our orders are shipped as individual parcels rather than pallets. Most items are small and lightweight, and parcel weights are generally below 23 kg. While occasional pallet preparation and handling may be required, heavy lifting is not a significant part of the role.
Attention to detail is extremely important, as our customers depend on receiving the correct products on time. We believe that quality is more important than quantity, and we take pride in maintaining a high level of accuracy throughout our operation.
What We're Looking For
-Previous warehouse experience is desirable but not essential
-Positive attitude and willingness to learn
-Good attention to detail and accuracy
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team
-Basic IT skills and confidence using handheld devices
-Good communication skills
-Forklift experience is an advantage but not required
