The Role
We are seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic, and experienced Primary School Teacher to join the Brainology team. You will work with small groups of up to seven primary-aged students, delivering engaging and structured learning sessions that help each child make progress, strengthen their understanding, and build confidence.
The successful candidate will create a positive and supportive learning environment, adapt activities to suit different ability levels, and encourage students to become confident and independent learners.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons to primary-aged students from Year 1 to Year 6
- Support students with their learning in key areas, particularly English and Mathematics
- Deliver structured activities that are appropriate for each student’s age and ability
- Explain concepts clearly and provide additional guidance where required
- Use positive encouragement to help students remain focused, participate, and complete their work
- Assess students’ understanding and adapt teaching methods accordingly
- Provide constructive feedback and monitor individual progress
- Create a calm, enjoyable, and well-managed learning environment
- Promote confidence, independence, positive behaviour, and a love of learning
- Communicate professionally with parents, colleagues, and the wider Brainology team
- Follow Brainology’s safeguarding, behaviour, attendance, and operational procedures
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience teaching children within a primary school setting is essential
- A strong understanding of the Primary National Curriculum
- Confidence teaching English and Mathematics across the primary age range
- A patient, positive, and encouraging approach
- Strong classroom and behaviour-management skills
- The ability to adapt teaching for students with different academic abilities
- Excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and supporting children’s educational development
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification is preferred
- An enhanced DBS certificate, or willingness to complete the required safeguarding checks, is essential
