Job Title: Property Manager
Location: Colchester – Severalls Business Park
Salary: £25,000 basic with commission package
Type: Full-Time – Monday – Friday 9am – 5.30pm
As a Property Manager at Moveplus, you will be responsible for overseeing the management of vacant properties within our Part Exchange portfolio. You will work closely with estate agents, contractors, and internal teams to ensure properties are regularly inspected, well maintained, and presented to the highest standard.
The role requires excellent organisation and communication skills, ensuring any maintenance issues are identified quickly, appropriate quotations are obtained, contractors are instructed, and works are completed efficiently to minimise delays and protect property value.

Key Responsibilities:
· Liaise with estate agents to arrange and complete regular vacant property inspections.
· Review inspection reports and identify any maintenance, security, or health and safety issues.
· Ensure inspection findings are recorded accurately within internal systems.
· Obtain quotations for repair and maintenance works from approved contractors.
· Instruct and coordinate contractors to carry out repairs, maintenance, cleaning, gardening, and other required works.
· Monitor contractor performance, ensuring works are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standard.
· Carry out follow-up checks to confirm all works have been satisfactorily completed.
· Liaise with estate agents, contractors, developers, and internal teams to provide regular updates on property status.
· Ensure vacant properties remain secure and marketable at all times.
· Maintain accurate records of inspections, quotations, invoices, contractor communications, and completed works.
· Assist with resolving property-related issues promptly to minimise delays in property sales.
· Identify opportunities to add value and contribute to company performance, supporting commission-based objectives.
· Provide support to the wider team with general property management and administrative duties as required.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in property management, estate agency, facilities management, or a similar property-related role.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple properties simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills with confidence liaising with estate agents, contractors, customers, and internal colleagues.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and work effectively under pressure.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM/property management systems.
· Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of residential property maintenance and repair processes.
- Experience managing contractor relationships and obtaining quotations.
- Understanding of requirements relating to vacant residential properties.
- Experience within new build, Assisted Move, Part Exchange, or estate agency environments.
