The setting:
Cilfan@Cornist is a brand new Childcare setting, situated on the Cornist Park Community Primary School site. The provision will provide Wrap Around care, Flying Start and Early Entitlement. Cilfan@Cornist will focus on child led learning with a Reggio-style philosophy that develops children’s creativity. This philosophy will support children’s transition into full time school at Cornist Park CP.
The role:
The Manager would like to appoint a member of staff to work as a Childcare Assistant for lunch time cover.
Applicants should ensure they have the relevant qualifications in Childcare Learning Play and Development.
The Contract:
The role would commence in September 2026 for 1 year. As we are a new setting, the continuation of the role would depend on numbers.
The role will be term time initially, with potential for school holiday care in the near future.
Weekly hours: 2 hours a day (11:30-13:30) 5 days a week.
Salary: Between £10.85/£12.71 an hour (age dependent)

1. The ability to build meaningful relationships with the youngest of children
2. A willingness to be part of a positive working environment, where challenges are faced with enthusiasm
3. Have a good level of knowledge of child development
4. Take a trauma informed approach to interactions with children
5. Experience of working with the youngest of children
6. Be punctual and efficient
