Machinist Grinder
We are looking for an experienced Machinist Grinder to join an established engineering team in Havant.
The role involves working with manual grinding, milling, turning and lapping machines to manufacture components and spares. You will work with materials including Inconel, stainless steel, carbon and composites.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating grinding, drilling and lapping machines.
- Working to tight tolerances and using measuring equipment.
- Reading and working from engineering drawings.
- Machining a range of materials, including Inconel.
- Assembly and fitting of components.
- Supporting continuous improvement and meeting production targets.
- Following all Health & Safety procedures.
Requirements
- 5+ years' experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
- Experience with grinding machines.
- Tool room experience preferred.
- Assembly and fitting experience.
- Able to read engineering drawings.
- Good mechanical aptitude.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety.
- Able to work effectively as part of a small team.
Manufacturing or engineering qualifications are desirable, but strong practical experience will also be considered.
Pay: £32,000.00 per year
