About Global Camps
We are an established childcare company operating holiday camps for primary-aged children during the school holidays. Our unique programme of childcare includes a variety of activities including sports, language learning, arts & crafts and outdoor adventure. In addition to our main camp, we also offer wraparound care in the form of a Breakfast Club and an After Club. At our camps, we create a safe and nurturing atmosphere where children can learn, play and make friends.
Job Description
We are looking for energetic, creative and experienced Senior Activity Leaders to work at our Summer Camp in Sydenham/Forest Hill (SE London) which operates from 8.30am-3.30pm throughout the school holidays, with wraparound care options available. You will ensure all children are supervised and safeguarded and will administer basic first aid where necessary. You will help contribute towards a positive and fun atmosphere where the children have fun and make friends. You will be responsible for ensuring the spaces are left clean and tidy.
As a Senior Activity Leader, you will take a leading role in modelling best practice to newer, less-experienced members of staff. You will be responsible for groups registers, leading excursions, and communication with parents when necessary.
Job Specification
You will be contracted from 8.00am-3.30pm. There may be additional hours available to cover our wraparound service from 7.45am-6pm.
You will be required to have completed training in child safeguarding, the Prevent Duty and paediatric first aid.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate must have previous experience working in a similar setting with children aged 4-12. We particularly welcome applications from qualified and experienced childcare workers, after school club staff, teaching assistants, and teachers.
Dates and Locations
The camp will run from 21st July - 28th August at Holy Trinity Primary School in Forest Hill (SE23 3HZ) and the TNG Centre in Sydenahm. A minimum of 4 days availability during the week is essential for at least 4 weeks of the camp. We operate throughout all the school holidays so there is potential for further work at future camps.
