We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Motor Vehicle Technician to join our team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough diagnostics using mechanical knowledge to identify vehicle issues accurately.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on motor vehicles, including engine work, brake repairs, suspension, and electrical systems.
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete tasks efficiently.
- Assist in the installation of new components and equipment within vehicles.
- Carry out heavy lifting as required for parts replacement or assembly tasks.
- Maintain detailed records of all work carried out on each vehicle for compliance and quality assurance purposes.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and organisational standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment to promote safety and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in vehicle repair or maintenance is preferred but not essential.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, and automotive electrical components.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and equipment repair standards.
- Good physical fitness with the ability to perform heavy lifting safely.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
- A valid UK driving licence is desirable but not mandatory.
