Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Assistant to join our caring team. In this vital role, you will ensure the cleanliness, hygiene, and overall appearance of our nursing home meet the highest standards. Your efforts will directly contribute to a safe, comfortable, and inviting environment for residents, staff, and visitors alike.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough commercial cleaning of resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and other designated spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies
- Maintain high standards of hygiene by sanitizing surfaces, floors, and fixtures regularly
- Follow established cleaning protocols to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Restock cleaning supplies and toiletries as needed to ensure continuous availability
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to management
- Assist with laundry duties when required, ensuring linens and clothing are clean and well-maintained
- Support the team in maintaining a tidy, organized environment that promotes resident comfort and safety
Experience
- Previous janitorial or commercial cleaning experience is preferred
- Familiarity with cleaning procedures specific to healthcare or elderly care environments is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Good communication skills to follow instructions clearly and report issues effectively
