Car Parts Delivery Driver – Blaydon-on-Tyne
Marathon Warehouse Distribution Ltd is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Car Parts Delivery Driver to join the team at our brand-new Blaydon-on-Tyne branch.
Marathon is a long-established national automotive parts distribution company with a network of branches supplying customers throughout the UK. As our business continues to grow, we are opening a new branch in the North East and are looking for dependable people to join the team from the very beginning.
This is a permanent, full-time position working Monday to Friday only, offering an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a stable driving role with an established and growing company.
The Role
As a Car Parts Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for delivering automotive parts to our customers throughout the North East, Scotland and surrounding areas.
Our drivers are an important part of the service we provide and are often the people our customers see on a daily basis. We therefore expect our drivers to be reliable, professional and customer-focused, as well as safe and responsible on the road.
Your main duties will include:
- Delivering automotive parts to customers on scheduled delivery routes
- Loading and checking your vehicle before leaving the branch
- Ensuring goods are delivered accurately, safely and in good condition
- Collecting customer returns and associated paperwork
- Providing a friendly and professional service to our customers
- Carrying out basic daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
- Taking care of the Company vehicle provided to you
- Keeping your vehicle clean, tidy and presentable
- Assisting with general branch duties when reasonably required
- Following Company procedures and health & safety requirements
What We're Looking For
Previous experience within the automotive parts industry is not essential. We are more interested in finding the right people who are reliable, hardworking and take pride in doing their job properly.
You will need to:
- Hold a full UK driving licence
- Be reliable, punctual and well organised
- Be comfortable carrying out a busy delivery route
- Have a professional and courteous manner
- Have good customer service and communication skills
- Be able to work independently and use your own initiative
- Take pride in representing the Company professionally
- Be comfortable with the physical aspects of loading, unloading and delivering automotive parts
Previous experience as a car parts driver, van driver or delivery driver would be advantageous, but is not essential.
