Part-Time Commercial Laundry Delivery Driver – Long Wheelbase VanOverview
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Part-Time Commercial Laundry Delivery Driver to join our team.
The role involves collecting and delivering commercial laundry and linen to customers across designated routes using a long wheelbase (LWB) van. You will be responsible for ensuring clean laundry reaches our customers safely and on time, while collecting used laundry for return to our facility.
This is a physical, hands-on driving role involving regular loading and unloading of laundry bags, linen and other items.
Previous experience driving a long wheelbase van is essential.
Weekend availability is required, with Sunday availability particularly important.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely drive a long wheelbase delivery van on scheduled commercial laundry routes
- Deliver clean laundry, linen and associated items to customer premises
- Collect used/soiled laundry and return it to the laundry facility
- Load and unload laundry bags, linen and other items safely and efficiently
- Complete all allocated customer drops and collections according to the agreed route and schedule
- Ensure the correct quantities are delivered and collected at each location
- Maintain a professional and courteous manner when dealing with customers
- Keep accurate records of deliveries and collections
- Carry out basic vehicle safety checks before starting a route
- Report vehicle defects, delivery problems or customer issues promptly
- Keep the delivery vehicle clean, organised and presentable
- Follow all road traffic laws, manual-handling procedures and company health and safety requirements
Essential Requirements
Applicants must:
- Hold a full UK driving licence
- Have no more than 3 penalty points on their driving licence
- Have proven experience driving a long wheelbase (LWB) van
- Be confident driving a larger commercial van on both local and longer delivery routes
- Meet the eligibility requirements of our commercial vehicle insurance provider
- Be available to work weekends, particularly Sundays
- Be physically capable of regularly loading, unloading and handling commercial laundry and linen
- Be reliable, punctual and able to work independently
- Have good communication and customer service skills
- Be comfortable following established delivery routes and schedules
Previous experience in commercial laundry, linen delivery, multi-drop delivery, hospitality supply or a similar delivery environment would be advantageous.
Hours & Availability
This is a part-time position with work based around our commercial laundry delivery requirements.
Weekend availability is essential, particularly Sundays.
Routes, start times and working requirements may vary depending on customer deliveries and collections.
Pay
Payment is route/drop-based rather than a standard hourly rate.
The amount payable will depend on the specific delivery route/drop being completed.
All payment arrangements will be structured to ensure that applicable UK National Minimum Wage requirements are met for working time.

What We're Looking For
We need someone who is dependable and understands that our customers rely on their laundry arriving on time and in the correct quantities.
You should be comfortable working independently, driving a long wheelbase van, carrying out multiple collections and deliveries, and performing the physical handling required in a busy commercial laundry operation.
