Overview
We are looking to recruit an experienced and capable Chef de Partie to join our existing kitchen team. This position is full time and permanent . You will be expected to assist the Head & Sous Chefs with the overall day to day running of the kitchen, which will include:
Duties:
- All aspects of food preparation and service as instructed by the Head & Sous Chefs, preparing and cooking menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- The supervision of Pizza Chefs/Kitchen Assistants and Kitchen Porters, overseeing their roles and responsibilities
- Washing dishes and taking an active role in completing cleaning rotas
- Contributing to stock control, product ordering and rotation
- Ensuring that food is stored and labelled correctly and in accordance with Food Hygiene requirements
- Completing any relevant paperwork to ensure records are kept up to date
- Ensuring that all Employment Law, Health & Safety Law, Food Hygiene and Fire Safety requirements, policies and procedures in relation to the kitchen setting are in place, kept up to date and reviewed regularly.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary environment is essential, with a focus on food preparation and cooking.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen is essential.
- Familiarity with various cooking techniques and equipment used in meal preparation.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A passion for culinary arts and a desire to learn and grow within the industry.
