We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager specialising in health and social care settings. This role offers an exciting opportunity to expand our organisation’s presence within the healthcare sector by developing strategic partnerships and driving growth. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of the health and social care industry, and experience with CRM software such as Salesforce. This position is ideal for a professional eager to make a significant impact in a rapidly evolving environment, contributing to improved service delivery and organisational success.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within health and social care sectors, including local authorities, ICB, NHS for standard and complex packages. care providers, and healthcare organisations.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to increase market share and client base.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including commissioners, service providers, and industry partners.
- Manage the sales pipeline effectively using CRM software such as Salesforce, ensuring accurate tracking of leads, opportunities, and client interactions.
- Prepare compelling proposals, presentations, and negotiations to secure new contracts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to tailor services to meet client needs and ensure successful onboarding.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes impacting health and social care markets.
- Represent the organisation at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to enhance brand visibility.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in business development or sales within health and social care sectors.
- Strong knowledge of CRM software, particularly Salesforce or similar platforms.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence decision-makers.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop innovative approaches to market expansion.
- Organised with excellent time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- A recognised qualification in business development, sales, or healthcare is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid UK driving licence is preferred but not mandatory.
