We are seeking a passionate and experienced Deputy Manager to support the leadership and day-to-day management of our therapeutic children's home for young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
Working alongside the Registered Manager, you will play a key role in leading a high-performing team, promoting trauma-informed practice, safeguarding children, and helping to achieve outstanding outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing
✔ Supporting the Registered Manager with the leadership and operation of the home
✔ Leading and developing a motivated and skilled staff team
✔ Supporting recruitment, induction, supervision and staff development
✔ Promoting therapeutic and trauma-informed practice
✔ Ensuring safeguarding remains central to all decision-making
✔ Supporting children to achieve positive outcomes in education, health and independence
✔ Participating in the management on-call rota
✔ Supporting Ofsted readiness and continuous improvement
✔ Monitoring compliance with Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
✔ Building positive relationships with families, social workers and partner agencies
What We're Looking For Essential
✔ Significant experience within children's residential care
✔ Experience supporting or supervising staff teams
✔ Strong safeguarding knowledge
✔ Excellent communication and leadership skills
✔ Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure
✔ Full UK Driving Licence
✔ Level 3/4 Residential Childcare qualification, ready to work towards Level 5
Desirable
✔ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards)
✔ Previous experience as a Deputy Manager, Team Leader or Senior Residential Support Worker
✔ Knowledge of Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards
✔ Experience of trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches
