Salary: £35,000–£42,000 per year, depending on experience and ability

About the Role
Five Star Autocentre is a well-established independent garage in Huddersfield, and we are looking for an experienced and qualified Vehicle Technician to join our workshop team.
We are looking for a capable all-round technician who is confident carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and mechanical repairs to a high standard.
This is a permanent, long-term position within a busy, well-equipped independent workshop with an established team.
An MOT Testing Licence would be a strong advantage but is not essential.
The Role
The work is varied and will include:
- Servicing and routine maintenance
- General mechanical repairs
- Diagnostics and fault finding
- Brakes and suspension
- Clutches and timing belts
- Vehicle inspections
- MOT testing, if qualified and authorised
- Accurately recording work carried out
- Working with the wider team to ensure vehicles are completed properly and on time
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship and believes in diagnosing and repairing vehicles properly.
What We're Looking For
Ideally, you will have:
- A recognised motor vehicle qualification, preferably Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent
- Good experience working as a Vehicle Technician
- Strong servicing and mechanical repair skills
- Good diagnostic and fault-finding ability
- The ability to work confidently and independently
- Good attention to detail
- A professional and reliable approach
- A full UK driving licence
An MOT Testing Licence is advantageous but not essential.
