What you'll do
Hybrid working commuting to Northampton or Bridgwater once a week.
Are you an analytical pricing expert with exceptional attention to detail and a passion for getting things right? We’re looking for a commercially-minded Pricing Manager to lead the financial review, challenge and reporting of our pricing strategy across every product category.
This is a pivotal role where accuracy is everything. You'll play a critical role in ensuring our pricing decisions are commercially sound, financially robust and supported by high-quality data. Working closely with Commercial and Finance teams, you'll analyse pricing performance, identify the optimal price points across our ranges and provide evidence-based recommendations that balance competitiveness, profitability and customer value.
As our pricing specialist, you'll own the catalogue pricing process, develop insight that influences strategic pricing decisions and maintain the controls and governance that give the business confidence in every price we take to market.
Pricing Strategy: Lead the financial review and challenge of Toolstation's pricing strategy across all categories, using detailed analysis to identify the optimum pricing position that balances sales performance, margin delivery and market competitiveness.
Pricing Recommendations: Provide clear, evidence-based recommendations that help the Commercial team determine whether products are priced appropriately, identifying opportunities to optimise pricing through investment or increases while considering customer demand and price elasticity.
Catalogue Pricing: Own the end-to-end catalogue pricing process, ensuring pricing changes are accurate, deadlines are achieved and senior stakeholders are aligned before prices are published.
Commercial Analysis: Deliver detailed analysis of profitability, CPI, SPI and pricing performance, investigating variances and providing actionable insight that supports commercial decision-making and margin improvement.
Market Benchmarking: Continuously monitor competitor pricing, reviewing product positioning and identifying opportunities to strengthen our competitive position while protecting profitability.
Data Integrity & Controls: Maintain rigorous controls over pricing data, validating cost and selling price changes, reviewing product and category profitability and ensuring the highest levels of accuracy across all pricing information. You'll identify inconsistencies, investigate anomalies and ensure robust governance is in place to minimise commercial risk.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Commercial, Category and Finance teams, using data and insight to influence decisions, challenge assumptions and support the successful delivery of our pricing strategy.
