Faculty/Directorate
The Faculty of Health and Social Care at the University of Bradford prepares students for careers across healthcare, social care, and related professions through a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. It is recognised for its strong focus on employability, research-informed teaching, and professional practice.
The faculty comprises three schools: Nursing, Public Health and Healthcare Leadership; Allied Health Professions, Midwifery and Social Work; and Pharmacy, Optometry and Medical Sciences. This post is within the School of Nursing, Public Health and Healthcare Leadership, and Department of pre-registration nursing.
Working closely with NHS organisations, social care providers, and voluntary sector partners, the faculty provides valuable placement opportunities and real-world learning experiences.
What you will be doing:

Deliver inspiring teaching, learning and assessment across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, helping students achieve their full potential and develop into confident, compassionate practitioners.

Provide academic leadership through module and programme leadership responsibilities, driving excellence in curriculum design, delivery and student outcomes.

Champion the student voice, working closely with learners and stakeholders to continually enhance the child nursing student experience.

Actively build and promote the school’s reputation through engagement activities including Open Days, interviews, community partnerships, practice placements and bespoke educational initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
-
Bring experience of higher education teaching and learning, with a proven track record of successfully leading projects and initiatives that enhance the student experience and drive positive outcomes.

Hold current NMC registration, with registration in child nursing field or with contemporary experience in child nursing practice.

Possess a Master's degree (or higher) or be nearing successful completion of an advanced postgraduate qualification.

Demonstrate a strong understanding of the contemporary healthcare landscape, with awareness of the national and local drivers, policies and priorities shaping nursing and care delivery.
