We are currently looking to fulfil a new position that has became available within the company for a Driver/Waste Operative.
The successful candidate would be required to work 5 days a week at 37.5 hours per week.
Normal shifts pattern start from 05:30am till 15:30pm Monday, Thursday, Friday. Saturday, and Sunday shift are 05:30am-08:30am although this may change depending on workload.
The successful applicant must be over 25 years of age and hold a full clean UK driving licence for a vehicle up to 3.5 tonne, and have held their licence for 2 years or more (for insurance purposes).
The role will involve the following tasks:
- work to daily job sheet
- carrying out daily checks to vehicle
- loading/unloading waste
- working to a time scale and visiting a number of different business uplifting waste & recycling material.
- working in the warehouse with tasks such as cardboard bailing, recycling processing and general maintenance activities
Successful candidate will preferably have a good knowledge of Glasgow and surrounding areas. Also some waste management experience would be preferred but not essential as full training will be given.
