HRGO Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a well-established metal processing and recycling company for a full-time Metal Recycling Operative. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in the metals industry, although this is not essential. Applicants with experience in manufacturing, recycling or similar industrial environments who are looking for progression are also

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Operate processing equipment to size, prepare and treat incoming materials
-
Report daily production throughput using internal systems
-
Carry out mechanical processing including cutting, shearing, shredding, blasting and plasma cutting
-
Ensure materials are processed safely and efficiently
-
Set up and operate equipment safely
-
Monitor processed output to ensure it meets required specifications
-
Report equipment faults and maintenance issues
-
Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures

Work as part of the production team

Report directly to the Production Manager
About You:
- Previous experience operating industrial processing equipment is highly desirable
-
Experience within metals, recycling or manufacturing is preferred
-
Good understanding of safe working practices within an industrial environment

Strong organisational and IT skills
-
Able to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team

Reliable, hardworking and willing to learn

Good attention to detail
