Job Summary
We are looking for a caring, reliable and kind person to join a small team supporting our 27-year-old son, who has Down’s syndrome.
This rewarding role involves providing companionship and support during evening activities, helping him enjoy his interests and maintain an active social life.
Duties Include
- Collecting our son from his home in Broadwas
- Driving him to activities in central Worcester
- Providing support and encouragement during activities
- Ensuring his safety and wellbeing at all times
- Returning him home after the activity
About You
The ideal person will be:
- Kind, patient and dependable
- Comfortable supporting an adult with additional needs
- A good communicator with a positive attitude
- Confident driving and accompanying someone to community activities
- Able to work independently
- Have a clean, valid driving licence And DBS check.
Experience in care or support work is welcome but not essential. The most important qualities are kindness, reliability and a genuine desire to support someone to live an active and fulfilling life.
Hours Available
- Tuesday evenings: 5:00pm to 10:00pm
- Thursday evenings: 5:00pm to 10:00pm
Applicants can apply for one evening or both evenings.
Pay
This position is offered on a self-employed basis, with current Worcestershire County Council rates of approximately £15.62 per hour.
