Our club is home to four main areas: The Pavilion for weddings and events, The Clubhouse Restaurant, Golf and Adventure Golf, and our extensive Health & Fitness facilities featuring a refurbished Technogym gym, Spin studio, 100+ classes each week, Padel courts and relaxing pool and spa spaces.
Key Responsibilities: Fitness Instructor
- To open and close the Gym, Studios, Pool and Wet-side Rooms complying with company procedures, which are subject to updates.
- To carry out daily equipment maintenance and pool tests etc. ensuring the relevant procedures are adhered to and recorded appropriately.
- To run in house and virtual Group Class Exercise once the relevant training has been undertaken and to keep training and qualifications up to date, ensuring Branston Golf & Country Club offers industry leading services.
- To undertake qualifications to assist the Health & Safety of Staff and Members such as First Aid and Pool Responder courses, and to keep these qualifications up to date.
- Proactively advise and assist Members on how to use the Gym equipment effectively and safely.
- Ensure the Gym, Studios, Pool and Wet-side areas are clean and free of health and safety hazards.
- Develop personal exercise Programs and Gym Inductions, and to promote these services and their benefits to Members.
- To monitor the progress of existing Members and to actively promote new programs and suitable Group Class Exercise. To motivate Members through safe and effective exercise and updates of existing Programs.
- To actively help with sales across the business, and to provide support to the Sales Team where appropriate and to assist positively with tours of the gym etc.
- To ensure that Health and Safety, and injury prevention policies and procedures are adhered to by Members.
- To regularly provide relevant, interesting, and quality online content for the Club’s social media and website, including but not limited to images, videos and recordings or Group Class Exercise. Ensuring the company achieves and maintains a strong and positive online presence.
- To proactively seek and share customer feedback and to report any complaints to the Gym Manager.
- To answer and respond appropriately to any telephone calls, emails or Facebook enquiries coming into the Gym and to ensure any information is accurately passed on if it needs to be dealt with by a more senior member of the Department.
- To provide adhoc cover when required for the Gym Floor and Group Class Exercise.
- To undertake duties as may be reasonably associated with this position and as requested to do so by the Gym Manager, Health & Fitness Manager or Managing Director.
Key Responsibilities: Personal Trainer
In addition to the Fitness Instructor duties, we require the successful candidate to use these hours to develop and build their own Personal Training client base. Support will be given through internal/external advertising and mentoring, to allow the Trainer to recruit paying Personal Training clients
Under this role, the Trainer understands they are required to pay a fixed amount of rent to Branston Golf and Country Club - In order to give the trainer a stronger chance to build a client base over time, the club will offer a hugely competitive gradual progression to the full monthly rental amount – specific details of this process will be discussed at interview
Personal Trainers at Branston Golf and Country club are expected to display the highest standards of professionalism, and play a pivotal role in upholding the reputation of the club as an industry-leading health and fitness facility
Requirements for the role:
- Gym Instructor Level 3 as a minimum requirement.
- PT qualified Level 3 as a minimum requirement.
- 2 years gym experience preferred.
- Class experience preferred.
- High level of personal hygiene and grooming standards.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service.
- First Aid Certificate desirable but not essential.
