Paid Meal Breaks
Purpose: Provide person-centred personal care that supports residents to live with dignity, choice and as much independence as possible.
Reports to: Senior Care Assistant or Care Assistant Supervisor on shift, then Team Lead.
Key responsibilities
Provide personal care: washing, dressing, oral care, continence care and skin care, in line with care plans and the Health and Social Care Standards.
Support residents at meal times, including assistance with eating and drinking and monitoring intake.
Support residents with mobility, transfers and repositioning, using equipment as set out in care plans.
Engage residents in conversation, activities and meaningful interaction across the shift.
Recognise and report changes in residents' physical or emotional condition.
Welcome and support visitors with warmth and respect.
Carry out any other reasonable duties commensurate with the role, as directed by senior care staff on shift.

Engage with the LittleInch Career Progression Framework, supported by the line manager.
Qualifications and registration
Working towards SSSC registration and SVQ2 within statutory timeframes.
Pay: £13.50-£13.90 per hour
