Yorkshire Damp & Waterproofing Ltd are looking for a self-employed, as and when needed reliable and skilled Exterior Property Maintenance operative.
We specialise in damp proofing, external waterproof coatings, exterior wall preparation, repointing, small render repairs and exterior painting. The role will involve working on domestic and light commercial properties across Yorkshire, carrying out high-quality exterior repair and preparation work before coatings and treatments are applied.
This is a hands on role suited to someone with experience in general exterior property maintenance, repointing, render repairs, painting, wall preparation or similar trades.
Main Duties
The role will include:
- Carrying out patch render repairs
- Exterior wall preparation prior to coatings
- Applying biocide treatments and cleaning masonry surfaces
- External painting and masonry coatings
- Sealing and protecting external walls
- Basic making-good works around windows, doors and wall areas
- Working safely from ladders, towers and access equipment where required
- Keeping jobs clean, tidy and professional
- Representing the company well when working at customers’ properties
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in exterior property maintenance, repointing, rendering, painting or similar trade work
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work to a clean and professional standard
- Reliability and good timekeeping
- Ability to work as part of a small team
- Confidence working outdoors in all reasonable weather conditions
- Good communication skills with customers and team members
- Full UK driving licence preferred
Experience with damp proofing would be beneficial, but training can be provided for the right person.
