Manufacturing Machine Operator – Full Time, St Neots
Location: St Neots, Cambridgeshire
Salary: £27,000/year + Overtime
Shift Pattern: 12-hour rotating shifts (2 days, 2 nights, 4 on / 6 off)
About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Manufacturing Machine Operator to join our production team on a temp to permanent basis. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring product quality, operating and maintaining manufacturing equipment, and supporting the smooth and efficient running of production processes. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor machinery to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous production
- Set up, start, shut down, and change over production lines in line with operating procedures
- Adjust machine settings to optimise performance and product quality
- Monitor product quality through regular inspection and testing
- Carry out routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting
- Follow health, safety, and operational procedures
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience operating manufacturing machinery
- Strong understanding of health, safety, and quality standards
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and work instructions
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer literacy for production reporting and documentation
