Overview
We are seeking a versatile and skilled Multi Trader to join our dynamic construction team working on insurance related reinstatement projects. In this role, you will be responsible for executing a wide range of trades across various projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship and timely completion. Your expertise will contribute to the successful delivery of diverse maintenance, renovation, and construction tasks, supporting our commitment to excellence and safety. Responsibilities
- Carry out carpentry, plastering, tiling, painting/decorating, kitchen fitting and bathroom installations.
- Prepare and finish surfaces, install fixtures/fittings and complete finishing works.
- Assist specialist trades and undertake general site maintenance and snagging.
- Read basic drawings and work from instructions; follow method statements and risk assessments.
- Maintain tidy work areas, store materials correctly and use tools and plant safely.
- Report defects, materials shortages and progress to supervisors; contribute to quality checks.
Person specification
- Proven multi‑trade experience in construction or maintenance (5+ years preferred).
- Competent in at least two core trades (e.g., carpentry + plastering, tiling + decorating).
- CSCS card (or equivalent) and up‑to‑date health & safety training (e.g., SSSTS/SMSTS desirable).
- Basic understanding of building regulations and safe working practices.
- Punctual, flexible and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently across multiple trades.
- Fabricate custom components or modifications using various materials to meet project requirements.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks effectively while adhering to safety standards and project deadlines.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in multiple trades such as carpentry, roofing, plumbing, masonry, welding, or electrical work.
- Strong knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in construction environments.
- Demonstrated ability to perform fabrication tasks with precision.
- Ability to read technical drawings or blueprints is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to completing diverse tasks efficiently.
- Full Drivers License.
