Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and reliable FLT Driver/Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating forklift trucks to move, load, and unload materials efficiently and safely within the warehouse environment. You will also assist with general warehouse duties, ensuring smooth materials handling processes and maintaining accurate inventory records. Responsibilities
- Operate forklift trucks safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport goods throughout the warehouse
- Assist with materials handling tasks, including picking, packing, and staging products for shipment or storage
- Use warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records accurately
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic repairs or notify maintenance for mechanical issues
- Support shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety protocols
- Assist with stock replenishment, inventory counts, and cycle checks as needed
Requirements
- Proven experience operating forklift trucks in a warehouse setting (certification preferred)
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems for inventory control
- Mechanical knowledge for basic equipment repairs and troubleshooting
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift
- Strong materials handling skills with attention to detail in shipping & receiving processes
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and recording data accurately
- Prior warehouse experience demonstrating reliability, teamwork, and safety awareness
