Support Worker – Young Man with Autism and ADHD
Location: Community‑based - Seahouses
Rate of Pay: £14.67 per hour
Hours: 3 hours per week on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Weekends
About the Role
A caring and reliable Support Worker is required to support a 19‑year‑old young man with Autism and ADHD who is currently attending college. He requires 1:1 support to help him access the community, develop social skills, and build independence, as he is unable to do this without assistance.
Main Duties
The role will include supporting the young man with:

Accessing social and leisure activities in the community

Developing social skills and building new friendships
-
Learning and practising life skills, including: Budgeting and managing money

Shopping independently
-
Learning to use public transport
-
Promoting confidence, independence, and positive wellbeing
About You
This role would suit someone who:
-
Has experience supporting individuals with Autism and similar needs
-
Is patient, understanding, and able to build a positive, supportive relationship

Can encourage independence while providing appropriate guidance
-
Has experience in disability, education, or support work (preferred)
Essential Requirements
Driver with business insurance
Additional Information

Experience with Autism and ADHD is highly desirable
