Job Title: Sheet Metal Worker - Ductwork Fabrication

Reports To: Production Supervisor / Workshop Manager
Job Purpose
To manufacture, assemble, and prepare HVAC ductwork systems and associated sheet metal components in accordance with technical drawings, company quality standards, and health and safety requirements. The role supports the production of ductwork for commercial, industrial, and residential ventilation projects across Northern Ireland and the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate rectangular, circular, and bespoke ductwork systems from galvanised steel, stainless steel, aluminium, and other sheet metal materials.
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings
- Operate sheet metal machinery including guillotines, press brakes, lockformers, rollers, notching machines, and spot welders.
- Measure, cut, bend, fold, and assemble sheet metal components accurately to specification.
- Install ductwork flanges, stiffeners, supports, and other fittings as required.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Follow all company Health & Safety policies and procedures, including the safe use of machinery and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with loading, packing, and preparation of manufactured ductwork for delivery to site.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, fabricators, welders, and installation teams to meet production targets and project deadlines.
- Report material shortages, equipment defects, and quality concerns to management.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Essential
- Previous experience in sheet metal fabrication, ductwork manufacturing, or a similar engineering environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience using hand tools and sheet metal fabrication machinery.
- Good understanding of workshop health and safety requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
- Experience in HVAC ductwork fabrication.
- Welding experience
- CSR Card or other relevant construction certifications.

Pay: £12.00-£17.00 per hour
