Job Description
Cromwell Medical Staffing is currently recruiting an experienced Band 5 Registered General Nurse (RGN) to join one of our NHS clients in Somerset. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated nurse to work within a busy acute care environment, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care while supporting the multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care in accordance with the NMC Code and NHS policies.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised patient care.
- Monitor patients' conditions, recognise signs of deterioration, and escalate concerns appropriately.
- Administer medications and intravenous therapies safely in line with local policies.
- Perform clinical procedures within your scope of practice, including wound care, cannulation, venepuncture, catheterisation, ECGs, and specimen collection.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive patient records.
- Work collaboratively with doctors, allied health professionals, and the wider multidisciplinary team.
Requirements
- Current NMC Registered Nurse (Adult) registration.
- Minimum 6 months NHS experience as a Band 5 Registered General Nurse (RGN).
- Experience working in acute medical, surgical, rehabilitation, or community hospital settings.
- Competent in patient assessment, medication administration, and clinical documentation.
- Up-to-date mandatory training.
