We are seeking a dedicated GCSE Maths Tutor to support students in achieving their academic goals. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and personalised tuition sessions, fostering a positive learning environment. The tutor will work closely with learners of varying abilities, including those requiring special education support, to develop their mathematical skills and confidence.
Duties
- Deliver customised GCSE Maths tuition sessions tailored to individual student needs and learning styles.
- Assess students’ current understanding and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
- Monitor progress through regular assessments and provide constructive feedback.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with special educational needs or learning difficulties.
- Foster a supportive and encouraging environment that motivates students to engage actively in their learning.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and session outcomes.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student development and areas requiring additional focus.
Qualifications
- Minimum grade 8 in GCSE Maths
- Strong understanding of the UK curriculum and examination requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex concepts clearly and patiently.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to suit diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Organised, reliable, and committed to supporting student success.
- Relevant qualifications in Education or Mathematics are preferred but not essential if accompanied by substantial tutoring experience.
Pay: £14.00 per hour
