The HR Booth are delighted to be recruiting an Electrician on behalf of GSM Electrical.
GSM Electrical is a long-established electrical contractor based in Dalgety Bay, covering the Central Belt of Scotland. GSM currently employs a close-knit team of 17 people and benefits from a high level of staff retention.
This is a varied job involving - domestic, commercial and industrial, covering design, installation, maintenance, rewires, inspection, testing and fault diagnosis, with solar PV, battery storage and EV charging on top. One week you could be installing and certifying, the next chasing a fault nobody else has found, fitting a battery system or wiring a charge point.
What You'd Be Doing

Installing, maintaining and repairing domestic, commercial and industrial electrical systems

Carrying out electrical inspection and testing

Completing electrical certification, including certification for rental properties

Diagnosing electrical faults and reporting findings

Installing solar PV and battery storage systems

Installing electric vehicle charging points
-
Completing job sheets and other required documentation accurately
Training and Development

Further training and development opportunities may also be available depending on the needs of the role and the interests of the successful candidate.

What You Need

At least one year's experience working as a qualified electrician

A recognised electrician qualification, such as an SVQ Level 3 or equivalent
-
A current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification

A valid driving licence

Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations

Excellent problem-solving skills
