he Role
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Domestic Assistant to join our team at Aster Care. You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the home, ensuring a pleasant and safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness across all areas of the care home
- Carry out daily cleaning duties including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising
- Clean windows, mirrors, furniture, and fittings as required
- Ensure bathrooms and wash areas are clean, stocked, and hygienic
- Empty and clean waste bins and dispose of waste in line with policies
- Clean carpets, curtains, and upholstery where necessary
- Move and clean behind furniture, including beds and chairs
- Report any maintenance issues, hazards, or faulty equipment
- Follow health & safety, fire safety, and infection control procedures
- Attend mandatory training and maintain professional knowledge
- Promote and maintain the positive reputation of the care home

- Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
- Reliable, organised, and able to work as part of a team
- Awareness of health and safety practices (training will be provided)
