About Us
CMC Climate Ltd is a rapidly growing Mechanical & Electrical contractor providing installation, maintenance and refurbishment services across commercial and industrial sectors throughout Scotland. Due to continued expansion, we are looking for a motivated and reliable Engineer's Mate to support our engineers on a wide range of exciting projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience and build a long-term career within the M&E industry.
The Role
Working alongside our experienced engineers, you will assist with the installation, maintenance and repair of commercial mechanical and electrical systems. Every day is different, and you'll gain valuable experience across a variety of commercial and industrial environments.
Typical duties include:
- Assisting engineers with mechanical and electrical installations.
- Loading, unloading and organising materials, tools and equipment.
- Preparing work areas and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Assisting with pipework, plant room installations and equipment replacements.
- Helping with electrical containment, cable installation and general site duties.
- Supporting servicing and maintenance works.
- Carrying out basic labouring tasks as required.
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and professionally.
What We're Looking For
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Good practical skills and a hands-on approach.
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
- CSCS Card (preferred but not essential).
- Previous construction or trade experience is advantageous but not essential.
