Salary: £23,648 per annum (not pro rata)
Hours: 40 hours per week | Monday to Friday

What You'll Be Doing
- Support teachers in delivering engaging, personalised learning for pupils with Autism and additional needs.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to help pupils achieve academically, socially and emotionally.
- Help create a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment where every pupil can thrive.
- Support the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), Behaviour Support Plans and communication strategies.
- Encourage independence, confidence, emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
- Prepare learning resources and assist with classroom organisation and educational activities.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, families and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver consistent support.
- Promote safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusion while maintaining accurate records and contributing to school life.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Holds GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).
- Is passionate about supporting children and young people with Autism and additional needs.
- Is patient, caring, resilient and committed to helping every pupil succeed.
- Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team.
- Builds positive, trusting relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
- Is adaptable, proactive and ready to embrace the excitement of helping establish a brand-new school.
- Is committed to ongoing learning, professional development and inclusive practice.
- Shares our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
About us
Tilewood School is an exciting new addition to the Options Autism family, provisionally set to open its doors in April 2027. Designed to support up to 72 students aged 5 to 16, the school will offer a nurturing and inclusive learning environment tailored to meet the diverse needs of its pupils.
For over 19 years, Options Autism has provided specialist care and education for children, young people, and adults with autism, complex needs, and learning difficulties.
