About the Role
One Contracts Ltd is currently recruiting for an experienced Shop Fitter / Site Joiner to join our growing team. We are looking for a punctual, organised, and self-motivated individual who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.
The role involves the installation of high-end bespoke joinery and commercial fit-out projects across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable and established company offering long-term career prospects.
Although work is carried out nationally on customer sites, applicants must be based within 30 minutes of Stoke-on-Trent.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation of bespoke joinery and shopfitting items on commercial projects
- Working from technical drawings and site instructions
- Ensuring work is completed to a high standard and within project deadlines
- Maintaining excellent health and safety standards at all times
- Working effectively as part of a team and using initiative when required
- Problem-solving and adapting to site requirements
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience in commercial fit-out joinery/shopfitting
- Minimum 2 years' experience in carpentry/joinery
- Valid CSCS Card
- Full UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points
- Own tools essential
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Good problem-solving skills
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently when required
- Excellent understanding of health and safety procedures
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- Basic 40-hour week + overtime on average they are 50- hour weeks
- Due to nationwide travel, there are long working days / early mornings / occasional overnight stays will be required. Overnight stays are not required every week.
