We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes and within their own homes. Duties
- Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
- Support individuals with their care plans, ensuring all needs are met in accordance with prescribed routines.
- Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive environment.
- Administer medication as directed, maintaining accurate records in compliance with organisational policies.
- Assist with meals where necessary, promoting healthy nutrition.
- Support clients with daily living tasks to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.
- Maintain clear communication with colleagues, family members, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care delivery.
- Assist clients to appointments or outings when required, ensuring safe transportation.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
- Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation needs.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken, for effective communication.
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and updating care plans.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals.
- Ability to work flexibly, including shifts that may include evenings or weekends if required. This role is ideal for caring individuals committed to making a positive impact on people's lives through dedicated support and companionship.
Pay: £12.21-£12.50 per hour
Expected hours: 28.75 – 36.0 per week
