Maternity Cover – 12 to 14 Month Fixed-Term Contract
We are seeking an organised and proactive Administration Assistant to join our team on a maternity cover contract for 12–14 months. This is a varied and busy role providing administrative support across the business, helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of our office and supporting key business processes.
About the Role
As Administration Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the wider business through a range of administrative, organisational, and data management activities. Acting as a central point of contact for colleagues, customers, and suppliers, you will help ensure information is processed accurately, records are maintained effectively, and day-to-day operations run smoothly.
The role includes providing administrative support to the Finance team and wider office functions, including data entry, maintaining records and spreadsheets, preparing documentation, updating internal systems, and assisting with reporting and general administration. This is a varied position that would suit someone who is highly organised, detail-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative support across the office and wider business.
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and general enquiries, directing them appropriately.
- Manage correspondence, documentation, scanning, filing, and records management.
- Accurately input and maintain data across systems, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Support the Finance team with administrative tasks, including maintaining records, updating trackers, and preparing documentation.
- Support employee administration, including timesheets, holiday, and absence records.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in an administration, office support, or similar role.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Experience of data entry and maintaining accurate records.
- Confidence in professional telephone and email communication.
- Ability to prioritise workload, work independently, and meet deadlines.
- A flexible and proactive approach with a willingness to support across different areas of the business.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well as part of a team.
Pay: £25,500.00-£26,500.00 per year
