Role Summary:
The Senior MSK Clinician role involves supporting the Clinical Performance Manager within audit, training, complaint management and project activity, to ensure the team maintain the highest standards of healthcare in line with Optima Health's standards and values.
The role is aimed at providing a leading Occupational Health MSK service to customers and clients with the aim of early return to work or remaining in work.
The Senior MSK Clinician time will be split between conducting senior duties and carrying out core clinical work.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide clinical supervision / leadership to clinicians within the team. Ensuring the delivery team maintain standards and high-quality delivery of products.
Carryout clinical audit in line with Optima Health's clinical quality and standards framework, as a delegated task from the Clinical Performance Manager. At all times delivering clinical audit work to the highest professional standards and proving constructive feedback to individuals and CPM as required.
Be responsible for the delivery of induction and training of new employees' members and assist with the ongoing training for current employees.
Be responsible for the support and supervision of junior employees, students and GROW participants within the MSK division.
Ad hoc additional work commensurate with seniority and expertise, including consultancy assignments, research, training, peer supervision and other ad hoc tasks that may be requested from time to time.
Contribute effectively to team discussions and service developments to ensure that processes remain effective, and change is achieved.
To help collate service statistics as pre-agreed, for monthly or quarterly reporting by Optima Health to the client and to contribute to the change process.
Identify, assess, and advise on any workplace hazards or contributing factors to Musculoskeletal disease and / or the individual's ability to perform their duties.
Conduct workplace assessments such as DSE, FCE, workplace assessments or work-based tasks as and when required and provide advice and recommendations as appropriate.
Always maintain clinical objectivity and impartiality in line with occupational health guidance.
Deliver effective evidence-based recommendations and rehabilitation that adheres to national clinical standards.
Use a bio-psychosocial approach combined with functional assessment to address barriers to work and inform robust work recommendations.
Complete comprehensive assessment and treatment records in line with company policy and national guidelines.
Experience, Skills, and Knowledge Required for the Role:
Degree of Higher in Physiotherapy
Registered with the Health Care Professions Council and CSP
Evidence of continuing professional development
Minimum of 2 years OH experience
