Monkey World – Ape Rescue Centre are looking for a Cleaning Supervisor to join our existing dedicated and hardworking cleaning team. Our primate sanctuary is set in 70 acres of beautiful Dorset countryside providing a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outside and would like to contribute to a great cause.
Who we’re looking for:
- Someone reliable and physically fit with a positive, can-do attitude.
- 1 to 2 Years of Supervisor and Cleaning experience
- A flexible approach to working hours and tasks
- Comfortable with a fast paced, outdoor environment
- Friendly and approachable in this visitor facing role
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head of Maintenance and their team in the day-to-day cleaning operations in a face paced environment.
- Assist with staff training, and performance, ensuring a motivated and efficient team.
- Ensuring excellent hygiene and cleanliness in all public areas
- Carrying out a range of cleaning tasks across the park to a high standard.
- (In visitor areas, there is no contact or working with the primates in this role)
- Completing and maintaining company checklists and records
- Supporting the existing cleaning team in maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming environment for visitors which includes working independently from the rest of the team
- Ensuring the team are busy even on days with low visitor numbers
