Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook/Chef to join our culinary team. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist in menu planning and develop new culinary ideas
- Ensure all food is prepared safely, adhering to food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Manage ingredient stock levels, order supplies as needed, and minimise waste
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times
- Serve meals efficiently and courteously to residents.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to guarantee optimal results
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents or contamination
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
- Experience working in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable
- Familiarity with meal preparation for diverse dietary requirements is advantageous
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
