We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant and Bar Supervisor to help support daily operations within our vibrant hospitality establishment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising staff, ensuring exceptional service standards, and maintaining food safety and quality. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a passion for culinary arts, team management, and delivering outstanding customer experiences. The position is paid and suitable for candidates with previous supervisory experience in restaurant or hotel environments.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of restaurant and bar staff to ensure smooth service delivery
- Oversee food presentation to meet quality standards
- Manage team schedules, delegate tasks, and motivate staff to achieve operational goals
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene throughout the premises
- Assist in drinks & food production operations as needed, including food safety checks and quality control
- Serve customers directly when required, providing excellent hospitality and resolving any issues promptly
- Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory to prevent shortages or wastage
- Train new staff members on service procedures, health & safety protocols, and company policies
- Maintain a welcoming environment that promotes teamwork, professionalism, and guest satisfaction
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong team management skills with the ability to lead by example
- Extensive restaurant and pub/bar experience
- Knowledge of food safety standards and food production processes
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Hotel background is advantageous
- Barista experience is desirable but not essential
- Exceptional communication skills with a friendly yet professional demeanour
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
