Job Purpose
Our Tyre Technicians play an integral role in keeping our customers moving. Bridgestone are now seeking enthusiastic, determined individuals with unquestionable hunger to learn to join our team of Tyre Technicians. Reporting directly to the Regional Operations Supervisor the National Relief Tyre Technician is responsible for supporting the Mileage business accounts & Operations managers with PSV tyre technician national coverage due to sickness & open recruitment positions. Ensure depot locations and all working practises are covered in line with company processes and ensure that Bridgestone’s interest is protected at all times.
Tasks include:
- To work on own initiative and with the team in the area.
- Flexible working approach in line with relevant depot locations that require cover.
- To prioritise and manage the workloads within the varying depot locations across the country.
- To cover PSV depots in the case of awaiting new candidates and long-term sickness.
- To aid new and current tyre technicians to level one competence in all aspects of tyre husbandly-fitment/removal of wheel assemblies, stripping and fitting of tyres, re-grooving, minor repairing & correct tyre inspection practise.
- Control tyre stocks to 100% accuracy within depot locations being covered.
- To always ensure that we exceed customer expectation.
Working hours are 37.5 hours (permanent) per week and this does not include weekends as we know how much you value your weekends! Technicians have the opportunity to choose their hours of work to suit them and the customer best and good news, there is a commercial tyre fitting machine in all of the locations you will be covering.
